haha, really? I'll read HQ mangas, but really... I'm not a fan of HQ novels. Then again, not all of the mangas that were shared here are truly Harlequin in the sense of "Harlequin romance".

If you found it on a different forum, it's okay to share the direct link to the forum, but I wouldn't share the download link. Someone else has taken the time to upload it, so the credit should be left to them. If you point us in the right direction, I'm sure everyone would be willing to do what they need to get it and thank that person.

I know I wouldn't like it if my links were shared around willy-nilly without knowing who's seeing it.

I'd like to ask if anyone has recommendation for historical romance authors?
Maybe also links to their ebooks? Whatever format would be fine Very Happy
And, if possible, with less to none existence bed scenes... Embarassed

Try searching on bookos.org for your author. Use the Exact matching box and you will be astounded at what you can find on this site.  I am not endorsing this site nor condeming it...This is just FYI.

Hm... I can only think of a few historical authors that I know of that fit that criteria. They tend to be older (published at an earlier date) and many of them, I couldn't find a digital copy, but I'll try and help!

Maybe silvery has more suggestions since she's our resident prolific reader ^^

And since we're sharing resources (thanks swede!), there's FictionDB for book information only. http://www.fictiondb.com/

It's a compilation of information for all fiction authors, not just romance, and it provides summaries if the story of choice is there. Very easy to search either the title or the author. It's usually where I snag the summaries from, if I share them~

Wow, that's a lot of shares... Sadly, majority of the ones that I've read contain bed scenes... those that don't have already been mentioned by by aerysa. maybe I should mention if the book contains smut when I review them...

While waiting for Enticed by His Forgotten Lover, I kinda searched for the epubs. Apparently there are 3 books, so I compile it.
Here it is:

It's in ePub though Smile

Joy Reed - The Duke and Miss Denny (shared previously)
One of my fave books of all time! I've read it at least half a dozen times and love it just as much each time. Definitely recommended. It's clean and is just a sweet love story between two people who seemingly don't belong together based on class and background. Both main characters are endearing while the supporting characters are quite fun(ny) in their own regards.

Thanks, Aerysa for Sharing this book.  As I've said elsewhere in this forum I'm pretty picky when it comes to historical romance novels or any historical novel.  That being said.  I truly enjoyed this book.  Thanks very much for sharing it!

I liked it so much, but the PDF format put me off so I used Calibre and converted it to RTF and edited it into Chapters and corrected typos from the original scanning and saved it as EPUB, LIT, and MOBI.  This cleaned up version can be found at:

I hope others will enjoy it too.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it as much as I did! And wow, thanks for fixing it up! I'm not surprised there were issues with it, but I wouldn't have known because I've always read the hard copy of it. It must have taken you quite a bit of time, so I really appreciate that!

PostSubject: I'm afraid I'm missing something...   Sun Dec 08, 2013 5:41 pm

Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for all the posts on here! I was sorting through some of the pages and almost all of the links appear to have disappeared. Or maybe I'm just not using them correctly? Things on media fire seemed to be working correctly, at least they tell me that the file is no longer available, but whenever I get to a 4share link, things get a little weird. Is it format? Or are the links dead?

(edit)
**Ah, after reading a lot on the forum, (I think it was about page 7 or so), I discovered that most of the books posted on 4share have been deleted by them. If anyone has copies of those books which were on 4share, would it be possible to maybe re-share a few of them on media fire or somewhere else that will let you?**

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Ambiku

Hi ambiku,

As you already discovered, everything on 4shared was deleted due to copyright issues and warnings being sent out. (At least mine were.) It's a lot of work to go through what was already shared, so if you could just list the ones you are interested in, it would be easier that way.

PostSubject: A wish list...BUT...only if and when you have time!   Tue Dec 10, 2013 2:07 pm

I really do appreciate all the time and effort you have all put into making this a forum where we can get excited over some of the things we love. My wishlist for the HQ's to read are as follows, but I know everyone is busy, so I am content to wait quite a while! I did download a fair amount of books from media fire links that were not quashed, so I have material to keep me busy for while (thank you also for the suggestions. I've never really read any period historical stuff, so that too was interesting.) Also, I know that not all of these were in the ones listed (they just happen to be ones the shojoManhwa has translated). If you have them, wonderful! Thanks in advance!

Amber by Night (Sharon Sala)
Expecting the boss's Baby (Leanne Banks)
Keeping Luke's Secret (Carol Mortimer)
Marriage Wanted (Debbie Macomber)
Married by Mistake (Renee Roszel)
Millionaire Husband (Leanne Banks)
Sale or Return Bride (Sarah Morgan)
Taming Jason (Lucy Gordon)
The Apartment (Debbie Macomber)
To Marry a Stranger (Renee Roszel)

...Isabella by Loretta Chase (Book 1 of Trevelyan Family)

Summary: WONDERFUL, WEALTHY ISABELLA

At twenty-six, wealthy and sensible Isabella Latham had abandoned all thoughts of marriage. Yet when she arrived in London to oversee the debut of two younger cousins, it was Isabella who was besieged by legions of suitors... all of whom had an excess of creditors. There was the wickedly attractive Basil Trevelyan, a rake whose charm Isabella could not resist. And there was his utterly handsome cousin, the Earl of Hartleigh, who made her heart flutter in spite of herself. Pity Isabella. Little did she dream that her delicate dilemma would bubble into a scandal that would rattle family skeletons, give gossip-mongers their due... and land her an ideal husband!...

I read silvery's description of the English Witch and was interested in it.  I'm glad that you posted Isabella as it explains some things about the characters that are mentioned in "The English Witch".

You can tell that I liked this book because I took another edition of it and converted it to .EPUB - I like my books to have Chapters.  You can find it here:
